For appropriately evaluated patients with myocardial ischemia.
Ischemia occurs when the heart muscle does not receive enough oxygen-rich blood for its needs. Our program combines Ayurvedic intervention with diet, exercise, risk-factor management and medical supervision.
Individualized Panchakarma may include Snehana, Swedana, Basti, Hrudayadhara and other supportive procedures. The protocol is determined after clinical assessment.
Calorie control, weight reduction where appropriate, better carbohydrate quality, fibre-rich foods, appropriate protein, lipid management and blood sugar management.
Walking, breathing exercises, mobility exercises, yoga-based practices and gradual cardiovascular conditioning according to cardiac assessment and exercise tolerance.
Ayurvedic medicines may be prescribed individually. Patients with diagnosed ischemic heart disease should continue indicated conventional cardiac medicines unless their treating physician makes a change.

Patient-friendly explanation: Ischemia is not simply a chest-pain problem. It can be influenced by cardiovascular fitness, metabolic health, weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, lipids, stress and lifestyle. The program addresses these factors together.
